Abeezar E. Faizullabhoy is a Senior Partner at the firm practising out of the Mumbai office. His practice covers Corporate Commercial and Disputes, including Arbitration and Litigation. During Abeezar’s almost 26 years of practice, he has been involved in Corporate Commercial transactions across diverse sectors including Manufacturing, Education, IT, Financial Services etc. Abeezar has advised on diverse mergers and acquistions, PE invetsments, technology transfer agreements etc. Notably, he has been involved in some of the largest joint ventures in the automative space. During the course of his practice, he has also been actively involved in opening and advising international and domestic clients in respect of the Companies Act, FEMA, RBI Guidelines, FDI Policy and other busines and commercial laws. With respect to his Disputes practice, he has handled complex multi jurisdictional litigations covering India, Dubai, BVI and the UK and also successfully represented and argued international arbitrations on behalf of his clients. His domestic practise covers work in the Supreme Court of India and diverse High Courts, District Courts, Special Courts and Tribunals across India. Abeezar started his legal career with Mulla & Mulla and Craigie Blunt & Caroe in 1990 and then joined JSA where he was a partner for 9 years. He resigned from JSA to be on the business end and was the Group CEO of Aditya Resources DMCC, a Dubai based investor group and was involved in the development of a 3600 MW thermal power plant in India and other off-shore acquisitions and invstments until he joined HSA Advocates in 2014.
